Vivid Riot - The Compilation 2,
released April 18, 2014
The Front were formed during the Olympic summer of 2012 with the aim of reigniting the scene and producing a down-to-earth brand of music that the everyday Londoner can relate to.
Drawing influences from diverse genres such as sixties rock n roll, seventies punk and eighties Ska, The Front have then added their own modern twist to proceedings and created an instantly-recognizable and distinct sound which has seen them build-up a fanatical and ever-expanding army of followers.
Their rawness, charm, energy and on-stage presence has seen the Front play a number of high-profile shows at a number of leading London venues like the Brixton Jamm, Notting Hill Arts Club, Nambucca and Water Rats, culminating in weekend headline residencies at at the Underbelly in Hoxton Square and Jubilee clubnight at the Camden Barfly.
The Front made their eagerly-awaited Festival debut at Camden Rocks in June 2013, twice performing in front of capacity crowds at the Monarch and then at the Wheelbarrow. The band then launched their hugely-anticipated debut EP with a headline show at a packed Camden Barfly in July.
2014 has seen The Front cement their position as a leading act on the London scene plus they are set to play a number of festivals in the summer as well as gigs in the north-west. The band have recently been back in the studio and have a number of brand-new recordings which are set for release in the autumn.
